The Spark, which ignited the ONEIC story, was struck in 1977 by a decision taken by the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman. As a result of this decision, Oman National Engineering & Investment Co. (S.A.O.G) was formed in 1978 to manage the Rural Electricity System for the Ministry of Electricity & Water Established. Oman National Electric Company (SAOG) started its Operations to serve the Electricity, Water, and Communication sector. Since inception, the company has registered steady growth backed by committed shareholders, progressive management with dynamism and dedicated professional staff around 4000. The company re-positioned itself in diverse competitive global business.

Oneic has achieved major achievements since its creation.Billing division which was created for the processing of utility bills for the whole interior and Dhofar is one of the biggest achievement.Simmilarly in 2001,2002,2004 and 2009 Billing Division became more strengthen by winning more contracts of water and waste water for interior Muscat and Dhofar.Likewise Oneic was the first in the entire gulf region to introduce semi-automatic hand held computers for meter reading.Also one big achievement was the introduction of innovative payment method in which Auto Credit Machines at the cash counters are available all over the Sultanate of Oman.Some other large achievements include the In-house financial system,In-house developed billing enquiry applications and the vehicle tracking systems.
Since Inception ONEIC has expanded steadily and has diversified in various fields of operations.Some of the major diversifications are listed below. (1)Operation and Maintenance of Gas Turbine and Diesel Power Stations (2)Operation and Maintenance of Desalination and Wastewater Treatment Plants.(3)Severage Treatment Plant and Severage Networks System(EPC).(4)Manufacture of Desalination Plants.(5)Meter Reading and Billing

Haseebuddin joined Oman National Engineering & Investment Co. S.A.O.G. on 7 June 2004. He has experience of more than 33 years andhe is well versed with financial and commercial aspects of the business. He is successfully leading Finance Department of ONEIC since last four years and holds MBA in Finance.
Osama Alkashif holds bachelor degree in agricultural engineering majored in agricultural economics. Having 30 years of rich experience in various investment and administrative arenas. He Joined ONEIC in April 2004.
Kiran played vital role in rapidly grown power generation company as Head of Civil Proposals and implementation of various projects such as cross country Oil & water pipelines, power projects, pumping stations, water treatment plants & townships.
M. H Al Mahrouqi joined ONEIC in May 2014, having served in Operations leadership roles for both public and private companies with Bachelors in Engineering. He is a seasoned professional equipped with progressive and hands-on experience in facility management including critical building systems, safety, budget planning and management.
A Graduate Electrical Engineer having 18 years of Experience with in-depth knowledge of Electrical Utilities and Oil & Gas market. A technology savvy engineer, focused on ONEIC’s business development and always aligned towards the company goals and objectives.
With over 25 years of experience Sajjad is a leader who leads by example, smart thinking and problem solving. He is very committed person proven with a high level of competency, his role includes Managing, coaching and directing staff.
Abasher holds LLB with 31 years of experience. He is also member of Sudanese Lawyers association UK, Membership of the Council of Qualitative Arbitration and Member of Sudanese bar Association.
Aziz holds Bachelor of Science (Computing) and Master of Business Administration. He has over 16 years of demonstrated career success. His Objectives, resulting in optimal utilization of Information Technology to achieve Business Process Automation, Employee Productivity Enhancement, and Improved communications, hence reducing operational cost.
Ahmed Al Ruqaishi is holding a bachelor’s degree in business management, having over 19 years’ experience in Oil and Gas industrial, He is highly focused with a comprehensive understanding of logistics, procurement and the supply chain.
Sultan Al Hinai working with ONEIC since August 2014 with more than 10 Years of Experience. He is specialized in developing & implementing continually improved QHSE Management System to ensure that organization achieve its business goals, legal and corporate requirements which accomplishes the client’s expectations.
